The Michael Miyauchi Foundation is teaming up with two cancer research icons in the battle against that disease, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center & The Ben Towne Center for Childhood Cancer Research, a part of the Seattle Children’s Research Institute. Both world-renown organizations are spearheading research on cellular immunotherapy, a promising treatment that harnesses the body’s immune system to target and eliminate cancer. Please join us in this fight by participating in the 2017 M&M Golf Classic as a golfer or as a sponsor. All proceeds from this event will be split evenly between the Michael Miyauchi Endowed Fund @ Fred Hutch and the Ben Towne Center for Childhood Cancer Research. Together we can make a difference in the lives of people who have cancer… helping to give them hope for a cure.
Thank you everyone from the Miyauchi Family!
Congratulations to the winning team of Glynn Omoto, Mark Dea, Mark Shimizu, and Zach Dea for winning the 2017 M&M Golf Classic, as well as all award winners . We had a festive day with great weather and 118 golfers, including 26 ladies and 27 first-timers. With many team awards based on how they looked rather than how they hit the golf ball, it was very interesting day.
Thanks to all of you, the event raised approximately $31,000 for the 2 cancer research institutions listed above!
These are the final team results:
